2) TREASURER’S REPORT 16500 in checking, $17,490 in the money market account. $33,900 total. $1,346.46 paid for back taxes
3) MEMBERSHIP REPORT 136 active members. Up 20! $835 in gifts. We think the book sale opening early for members helps bring people in.
4) LIBRARY REPORT Programming is going well. Youth program is back in action. Knitting hats for children. Also Women’s Prison in collaboration with Purple Crow to buy books for women who are incarcerated. Photo contests are also popular. El Centro will be here for health and wellness for Latino community. Speakers too. Tuesdays for 16 sessions.
Staff development days. Next Tuesday features an Autism Awareness speaker. Hiring two library assistant job positions closed, they’re going through applicants. Interviews will begin next week. New Outreach coordinator (new position) will be hired soon. They really want someone who speaks Spanish.
5) OLD BUSINESS
A) Nanowrimo Saturday, Nov 4 9:30-5:30 People can come write and have snacks. Maybe word count contest, who stayed the longest.

It will be in the newsletter. Drop ins allowed, but maybe registration would be help how many people. Library can handle registration so they can also get to the calendar. Maybe
just get Weaver St coffee. $500 in budget for gifties and snacks.
B) Children’s Book Illustration Collection — speaking at December Meeting Looks great! It’s up and going. Donations will go to furniture for neurodivergent youth. We need
to make sure it’s clear where the donations are going. The owner of the exhibit will be talking at
the December meeting.
6) NEW BUSINESS
A) Upcoming elections Shannon says she’ll be VP and not be treasurer. Grace will be
treasurer, but is happy to stay on with membership. 1) who’s running again 2) officer positions
B) December Annual Membership Meeting - plans Maybe punch and cookies would be
nice.
C) Staff appreciation from Melissa. Maybe a lunch in December. Maybe Cup a Joe or Weaver St gift card
D) Diane D wants to give jewelry to the library staff. In gift bags and then they can trade.
E) Feedback on Square that the booksale was very organized. Diane D said cleaning the room ahead of time helped make things more efficient. Need to get rid of boxes that are too big
and heavy when full of books. F) Free books for kids has been received well
G) $3 coupon in newsletter for members might draw more people into book sales. Maybe a free book for new members.
