4) MEMBERSHIP REPORT We have 148 active members. Since last meeting, we received six gifts totaling $255. 5) LIBRARY REPORT (Nancy Crews) Adult Services: Spotlight Books & Film Club is a new series that alternates book discussions and film viewings with

light

discussion.

will

often

mirror

books

and

films

that

Library's

Adult

Services

is

highlighting

that

month.

This

month’s

film

is

Rae,

2:00-4:00

pm. The First Monday Classics Book Club will meet March 3, 6:30 – 8:30. Friendly Fabric Fridays Meet-Up will be 3/07, 9:00-10:30 am. Yarn and patterns will be available. Youth Services: Fun with Clay for grades 3 rd through 5 th will be March 6, 4:00-5:00 pm. Mini-Terrariums: Craft Your Own Greenery World for Grades 6-12 will be March 12, 5:00-6:00 pm 7) BUSINESS We discussed the Friends tee shirts and agreed that we should mention their availability again in

the

Newsletter.

Book donations are creeping up, and the circulation staff is becoming overwhelmed. All Board members need to sign conflict of interest forms and get them in. Book Sale: Not many of the 40 volunteers on the list have signed up to help with the book sale. Board members

should

all

sign

up

on

Sign

Up

Genius

so

Wendy

can

tell

where

the

gaps

are.

We

could

encourage

members

to

volunteer

by

highlighting

the

benefits

of

staffing

the

book

sale. Those putting up signs for the book sale should meet at the library at 9:00 am on 3/17. The book sale banner needs to be reinforced so that it doesn’t sag. The next book sale will be September 17-21 to coincide with Hog Day. Laura, Meg and Mark volunteered to be on the audit committee to review our financial records. The Alex Evanovich program will take place on 7/19 and will be a creative writing program for teens.

The

honorarium

has

been

waved.

The

Board

approved

up

to

$500

to

buy

books

from

Purple

Crow

for

the

registered

participants. The Janet Evanovich program will take place on 7/11, and Purple Crow has again agreed to do a

50/50

split

with

book

sales. The introductory panel for the book walk has been received and will be installed. The ribbon cutting

date

is

not

yet

determined. The staff appreciation event date will be 4/16. Jody will book the room and announce the event to

the

staff.

We

will

approve

a

budget

at

the

next

meeting

after

we

get

a

count

of

those

attending. The meeting adjourned at 8:06
