Adult Service:

Community Engagement/Programming

The Hillsborough Garden Club (HGC) has awarded a grant to the Orange County Public Library to expand and strengthen its gardening, conservation, and educational initiatives. The funding will support several key projects designed to engage the community with hands-on learning and promote environmental stewardship.

The grant will enable the library to:

Continue a seed distribution program for patrons

Expand the Learning Garden planting area at the Main Library

Purchase tools, soil amendments, and other supplies to support services in the Learning Garden

Create green literacy bags/kits for use by parents, caregivers, and schools

Youth Services:

The first Tales & Tails program was a successful activity, and the handler and dog enjoyed the time with the children. Because it went so well, the program will continue in the new year.

Cuentacuentos: Spanish Storytime will take place January 17 from 10:00 to 11:00 am
