MEMBERSHIP REPORT

We have 174 active members. Since last meeting, we have received eight gifts totaling $485.

BUSINESS We may need to update our MOU with the library. There is damage to the stanchions on the Story Walk. We may need to move to permanent

stanchions

or

just

plan

for

periodic

repairs. Take your Child to Library Day went very well. William McLean, Lisa Cawley and Diane Decker

volunteered

at

the

Friends

table. Free handouts such as book marks or stickers may be useful to have available at library events.

A

code

provide

a

link

to

Friends

membership. All Conflict-of-Interest forms are due. Wendy will help with the audit; it should be done by the end of March. Tess and Meg will staff the Friends table for the Summer Reading Kickoff. Book sale We need to share information about the book sale on our social media platforms. We can now sign up to volunteer for the sale. Donations are coming in to Carrboro; we need a plan to move the books to Hillsborough for

the

sale. We need a new plan for putting up signs in Hillsborough due to changes in city regulations. We now have two banners. One will go to Carrboro. The other will go to a Hillsborough location. Diane will look into renting a vehicle to move leftover books after the sale. Meeting adjourned 8:50
