A Friends fundraising raffle: $25 entered you to win a 5-night stay at a three-bedroom cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, half a mile from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, with each entry also covering an optional individual membership or renewal. Additional chances were $10 each. Proceeds supported summer learning programming and books for children throughout Orange County. The raffle ran April 23 through May 31, and the winner was drawn June 1 and congratulated in the June newsletter.
