Summer Reading Kickoff
Summer is almost here, and your Friends of the Library can’t wait to celebrate with you! We’re proud to help sponsor this year’s Summer Reading Program Kickoff and Resource Fair, and we hope you’ll come out to join the fun on the River Park Grounds (228 South Churton Street, near the River Park Arch) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
This year’s roaring theme is “Unearth New Adventures,” and the library has planned a wonderful morning of interactive stations, crafts, games, and special guests including Poetry Fox, face painters, and balloon artists. Be sure to stop by the Friends of the Library table to say hello. We’d love to meet you, share what we’ve been up to, and chat about how your support helps make programs like this possible all year long.
Families, children, teens, and adults of all ages are welcome to drop in anytime during the event; no registration required. Bring a blanket or a chair, pack a water bottle, and settle in for a morning of community fun.
To everyone who has supported the Friends through memberships, donations, and volunteer hours: thank you! You are the reason we’re able to help bring events like this to our community, and we’re so grateful. See you at the park!

We can use: Fiction, classics, non-fiction, children’s books
