Put your business behind the library
The Friends of the Orange County Public Library is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit. A business sponsorship supports the programs, events, and extras the county budget does not cover, and it lets your customers and neighbors know your business helped make them possible.
From Summer Reading and author events to new services and special projects, the work starts with the library.
The library decides what it needs. The Friends help find the resources to support it.
What your sponsorship supports
Friends funding has paid for books children take home, performers and prizes for Summer Reading, author programs, furniture and equipment, staff development, technology, and other library projects that fall outside the regular county budget.
The results are usually easy to see.

Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are also happy to discuss a different amount or an in-kind contribution.
Want to support something specific?
Some businesses would rather put their name behind a particular program or need than choose a general sponsorship level. We are happy to talk.
That might mean helping with Summer Reading, supporting an author or literary event, underwriting a special library project, or helping fund something the library has asked for this year.
The library identifies the need. We work with sponsors to help meet it.

Families come for storytime and Summer Reading. Students come to study. Job seekers use the computers and online resources. Readers meet authors. Neighbors attend programs, learn new skills, find information, or spend time in a public place where nothing has to be bought.
