The Friends of the Orange County Public Library is an independent nonprofit organization. Founded in 1981, the Friends is a group of people of all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life who share a common goal: actively supporting the Orange County Public Library’s services and programming.
Through book sales, online campaigns, and other fundraisers, we raise money to fund services, technology, equipment, furniture, collection development, and programs not covered by public appropriations. We also sponsor author events, advocate for patron and library needs, and help integrate the county libraries into the community.
Our mission is to ensure that the Orange County Public Library has the resources to thrive.
